Hairspray 'N Gloss Salon & Studio is a private space located in Toronto’s Leslieville and Riverside urban neighbourhood, only 10 minutes by streetcar and a short subway ride from downtown Toronto. Large windows provide ample natural lighting, while a relaxed setting provides a laid back yet professional vibe. We book clients based on the new social distancing measures, limiting the number of people inside the salon at the same time. We ensure that Covid-19 regulations are met by asking everyone to wear and keep masks on while inside the salon as required by Health Canada to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses.
We provide hair services for men, women, teens and your little ones! We are a family friendly salon, helping to save you time by taking care of everyone’s hair one household at a time. We are a Goldwell Professional Salon for hair colour, which is free of harmful chemicals and dyes and Canadian Cancer Society approved. Whether it’s a natural look or creative colour or blonde that you’re going for, you can trust that we can help you achieve it in the healthiest and safest way. We also are trained in cold fusion hair extensions.
Mario has trained and continues to specialize in the coveted Vidal Sassoon haircut and barber technique of professional hairdressing. Beard and eyebrow trims are also offered here.
Mario is also expertly trained in Martin Parsons creative updos and Kevin Murphy editorial styling. Combined, you can feel assured that he can help you attain the hairstyle you are looking to achieve. He has been working as a professional hairstylist for over 2 decades. Hairdressing is his passion.
Our in-house professional, award winning editorial Makeup Artist Cherie will help you look your best and photo ready when you have a special night out, attending a special event, have a photo shoot or commercial shoot or looking to book a makeup lesson from natural to glam.
Cherie has honed her skills as a professional makeup artist over the decades working with the top industry beauty brands including MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Nars, Giorgio Armani, Anna Sui Beauty, to name a few. She has worked as a freelance makeup artist over the last decade with Toronto’s fashion photographers, travelling across Canada and internationally for magazine editorials. Her work has been seen in Today’s Bride, Fashion Magazine China, Parents Canada Magazine (English and French editions) to name a few. She also worked at the prestigious New York Fashion Week and Toronto Fashion Week. Cherie has also worked with on-air talent for the Marilyn Denis show performing makeup makeovers in front of a live studio audience. She has also worked on film and commercial sets, including a film in Bollywood and indie music videos. She currently loves working on actors providing hair and makeup services for their professional actor headshots.
